“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13).“This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast…” (Hebrews 6:19). As I am writing this at the end of March, the coronavirus pandemic is still expanding. However, together let us make every effort to focus on the wonderful birthright that is ours as God’s beloved children. Together, let us not lose sight of the true promises found in His Word, and may this transform our perspective, because some of you may feel lonely during this time – and perhaps anxious about your health or financial situation. But be encouraged, “for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). You might want to “soak” in the Psalms. Here’s an example from the 46th – “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…. Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
During this very difficult season, we have you in our hearts and want to hear from you personally so we may pray specifically for your needs. And together, let’s pray that multitudes in America and around the world will cry out to God! In his messages during March, Dr. Fuller presented God’s compassionate response when Israel finally cried out to Him. God heard them. God saw their desperate condition. And God intervened powerfully. This Easter month, (while maintaining social distancing) we have the privilege to witness afresh by phone calls, emails, texting, or sending letters and cards to neighbors, family members and friends concerning the power and compassion of Jesus who died and rose again. As we lean hard on our God, perhaps He will use us as conduits of His practical love to make an incredible difference to some fearful and stressed-out folks who, most of all, need the Savior.
And in the weeks ahead let’s enjoy the awesome Word of God as Dr. Fuller teaches from Exodus 4 through 7. And may your hearts be encouraged as the quartet and chorus choir refresh us with glorious song. As I mentioned in my last letter, we’ve just produced “Another Old Fashioned Easter” to add to our inventory of over 40 fine music CDs, each available for only $16.50 which includes shipping. And if you could pray about adding to that amount a gift for the ministry, we’d be ever so grateful. Since the first of the year, we’ve been unable to meet some of our financial obligations, so an extra Easter gift from you would help a great deal.
Rejoicing in the power of the Resurrection!
