Peace Concept

Dear valued OFRH family,

Last month we mentioned that our wonderful Shepherd leads each of us according to His perfect will and plan to ready us for His eternal abode. Also mentioned was the hymn which the OFRH choir so often sang: “Jesus will walk with me down through the valley.” It reminds me (and I pass it along to you) that even in the midst of suffering or anxiety in that valley we are encouraged “in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] to be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:18 AMP).

This month Dr. Fuller finishes preaching from 2 Thessalonians, chapter 2. The Apostle Paul urges believers who find themselves living in a time of apostasy to “stand firm” (2 Thess. 2:15) because those around us take “pleasure in unrighteousness.” They refuse to love the Truth and be saved. Therefore, God actually sends them “strong delusion that they should believe a lie” (see 2 Thess. 2:10-12). BUT God’s people, though surrounded by deception, can delight in the Truth and trust our Savior by keeping His promises before us constantly. That’s one was we can “bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5).

So let us be careful where we let our minds dwell. And even if it seems the last days may be approaching, let’s remain thankful, knowing our heritage is in the Lord. Remember His past faithfulness in our lives and that “He is the same yesterday, today and forever.” With that in mind, in mid-July OFRH is going way back to Genesis 1:1 – “In the beginning….” And we’ll stay in Genesis for about 3 months.

Meanwhile, we’d love to hear from YOU. Let me share an enthusiastic note we just received from a lady in upstate New York: “God bless you folks for the wonderful programs brought each week on WJIV Radio 101.9 – the music is great. Dr. Charles E. Fuller’s messages are too. Enclosed is a check to sow into your ministry. Please send information regarding the books and CDs mentioned on the program.”

Well, those lists have been sent and we look forward to hearing back from her a second time. And by the way, July’s featured CD is “Gospel Favorites, Volume 6” for just $16.50 which includes shipping (but it’s $18.00 in California due to sales tax).

How great is God’s goodness which He has stored up for those who reverence Him (see Psalm 31:19).

Grateful for His goodness to me personally and to OFRH,

Michael Khanchalian, D.D.S.
