Precious listeners and friends,
May the messages and singing during the month of June lift your spirits and also help lift any burdens you might be carrying.
Perhaps you’ll be able to “echo” the following comments we received from a long-time listener in Portland, Oregon. She says, “Listening to the OFRH broadcast on Sunday mornings is the highlight of the day. The Lord blesses me with the music, letters and messages. Thank you!! Praying for you.” Well, we certainly appreciate her encouraging words. And I think you’ll be encouraged this month as Dr. Fuller finishes teaching from 1 Thessalonians, focusing on that Blessed Hope of the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to take us to live with Him forever. Hallelujah!
As I mentioned in last month’s letter, your Lord is in the business of readying you to spend eternity with Him. This sanctification process is His plan for each of us. “He who calls you is faithful; He will surely do it” (1 Thessalonians 5:24 ESV). Along with the song “Jesus Will Walk With Me” which I also mentioned last month, another song the OFRH choir often presented was “God Leads His Dear Children Along.” These both remind us of how much our wonderful Savior loves us and how we may fully depend on Him to be faithful. In His faithfulness, our Lord often orchestrates events in our lives to prepare us for service for Him – and which we would be utterly unprepared for otherwise.
To review, not only is the Lord readying you to spend eternity with Him as He leads you, sometimes into and through dark valleys, but in His sanctification process it is according to His perfect plan and will. “We know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose” (Romans 8:28 AMP).
One of the songs on our featured CD for June is “Great Is Thy Faithfulness.” It’s just one of the 28 numbers on “Gospel Favorites, Volume 5.” The CD can be yours for only $16.50 ($18 in Calif. with tax).
Relying on our Lord’s faithfulness,
Michael Khanchalian, D.D.S.
