Dear beloved OFRH family,
Last month I wrote of the amazing peace that is ours in Christ Jesus, as stated in John 16:33. In the world we may have tribulation and distress and suffering. But Jesus (in the Amplified Version of that verse) tells us to “be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world. [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]”
As Dr. Fuller continues to teach from the Gospel of Mark during March, we shall witness in three separate broadcasts our Lord Jesus’ absolute victory and power over demons, disease and death. He is so worthy of complete trust by His beloved children. And as you lay it all on Him, may you experience His great peace as you rest on the Solid Rock.
Having gone through the Southern California fires and a little medical scare myself a few weeks back, I want to thank the Lord that these promises of His love, faithfulness, and provision are absolutely true as we choose to focus on Him instead of on our troublesome circumstances.
Let me repeat some of my comments from the OFRH letter we sent out about a year ago. “Through many dangers, toils, and snares I have already come…” How about you? This life of Amazing Grace in Jesus is a process of recognition that, although circumstances and sudden demands on our time – as well as seasons of sorrow, grievous difficulties or great challenges that we do not welcome and did not foresee come at us – these are not a shock nor a surprise to the One who loved us and gave Himself up for us. Jesus knows. Jesus is preparing us, “…and grace will lead me [us] home.”
Each new day provides us with a new start. And because of that, this month we’re featuring OFRH choir’s CD entitled “Start Your Life Anew.” I’m sure the 15 songs will help draw your heart and mind closer to the Savior.
