Dear OFRH family,
May abundant grace and peace be yours because of the incredible sacrifice Jesus endured on your behalf. Last month I urged you to meditate on 1 Peter 5:6-11. I hope you took time to do that and to bask in the truth that our resurrected Savior loves us so much that He guides us even through seasons of discipline. "But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you” (verse 10). As we yield to Him and cast all our anxieties on Him, the God of all grace prepares a “far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (see 2 Corinthians 4:17).
We look forward to meeting our faithful listeners there in glory, worshiping our Savior together. This summer one of our encouraging friends wrote (in part) saying: “I listen to your broadcasts every Sunday at 7:00 am and at noon on WCGW…out of Nicholasville, Kentucky. I am sending you a little something to help keep your broadcasts on the air. I really enjoy hearing his sermons and hope they can continue. Thank you for what you are doing.” Well, we greatly appreciate responses like that!
And you won’t want to miss the OFRH broadcasts for September 3 and 10. Dr. Fuller will remind us to be diligent to keep on this path which readies us to look ahead to Jesus’ return with great joy and without shame (2 Peter 3:14). That diligent steadfastness to know God’s truth and to live it goes along with Dr. Fuller’s next exhortation to beware of the schemes of the wicked one who attempts to deceive and lead us away from the path of obedience to God’s truth (verse 17).
In addition to obedience, music in the here and now and throughout eternity is a definite component of our worshiping the God of all grace. Therefore, as we anticipate meeting and worshiping with all of our faithful listeners, this month our featured CD is “Meet Me There.” On it, the OFRH chorus choir shares 15 uplifting songs to help in your “here and now” worship. The price is just $16.50 which includes shipping – but due to tax, for Californians it’s $18.00 and I apologize for that sour note.
Anticipating our glorious and sweet reunion,
Michael Khanchalian, D.D.S.
